Behind Me For the Sea
Oh hello there!
I was thinking about leaving this page out but I’m glad I didn't because you are now reading it. Yay! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Cleo Codrington, (owner and designer of this little brand) and I currently live in the beautiful Margaret River region where I have finally settled my wandering legs after six years of travelling/working.
After studying graphic design at university in Sydney (where I spent my childhood and adolescence) I felt an itch to leave the big smoke and live simply on the road - which I did for a good five years.
Exploring all of Australia (yep three laps worth) most of NZ, and a lot of the USA via van has definitely shaped me into the person I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful for witnessing some of the most incredible landscapes nature has to offer. And that’s where my heart will always lie - in amidst the rugged outdoors, chasing summer, discovering secluded rock pools and wearing nothing but swimwear day in day out! (Or nudey rudey…)
As my day-to-day uniform is usually some sort of bikini, and with my love for illustration, design and Mother Nature - I thought ‘Hang on, wait a hot minute… I need to start designing sustainable swimwear!” And that brings us to 2020, the year the world changed and the year I finally turned that little lightbulb in my head into my brand - ‘Me For the Sea.’
